A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a particular email mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise put, if you remove an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any mistyped address under the same domain, you’ll get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential in case you run some business, for instance. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited bulk messages, you can use the catch-all option with email filters so as to receive only legitimate emails in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud web hosting platform and you’ve got a website hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section includes quite a lot of features, but it is extremely easy to work with, so configuring a catch-all mailbox requires just a single mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be displayed in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll just have to click on the "Catch-all" button for the respective email address. Our system will notify you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes yet another click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be enabled without any effort if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up using the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll find a small button conveniently situated right next to each of them. With only a click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and enable this feature using the contextual menu that will show up. If any of the conditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will let you know, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
